Yongjin Zhang is currently Professor of International Politics at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. He holds an MPhil and a DPhil in International Relations both from Oxford University. Before coming to Bristol, Professor Zhang had teaching and research appointments at The Institute of International Politics in Beijing, Oxford University, the Australian National University, and the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He has also had visiting appointments at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Renmin University, the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, The National Taiwan University, the National University of Singapore, and Oxford University. Professor Zhang’s research publications have appeared in International Affairs, Review of International Studies, Millennium, European Journal of International Relations, Development and Change, Global Discourse, The China Journal, Journal of Contemporary China, The China Quarterly, Chinese Journal of International Politics, Australian Journal of International Affairs, and The Third World Quarterly, among others.
