Dr Sardar Aziz is a former senior adviser in the Kurdish parliament, as well as a researcher and writer. He covers overing Iraq’s Kurdistan Region and regional dynamics for the Emirates Policy Center (EPC). He writes in Kurdish and English, and contributes a monthly column for the French Research Center on Iraq and a weekly column for Hawlati. In addition to Iraq and Kurdistan, Dr Sardar works on regional and international power rivalry in the Middle East. He has a PhD in Government from the University College Cork.
