Dr Ilham Makki Hammadi is a researcher and an activist with a PhD in Anthropology. Her area of expertise revolves around gender and peace studies, with a focus on feminist research using qualitative research methods. With over a decade of experience in academia, she has collaborated with numerous national and international universities and research institutes. Dr Hammadi is committed to advancing gender mainstreaming and promoting Iraqi women's participation in peacebuilding and post-conflict transition processes. She continues to advise various international and multilateral organizations and initiatives on these crucial issues.
