Formerly, he was the Managing Director of Iraq Energy Institute in Baghdad, where he led research programs on Iraq\u2019s and Iraqi Kurdistan's oil, natural gas and power sectors in addition to water and climate challenges, economy, and politics. He has worked for the International Energy Agency (IEA) and various international oil companies. He is specialized in studying rentierism in the Gulf area and prospects for economic diversification. He holds a master\u2019s degree in Energy Economics and Management from IFP School.
